The practice area at Emerald Dunes was created by Tom Fazio as part of the overall renovation in 2011. Consisting of a practice range, short game area, and teaching center, each facility is maintained to USGA standards and specifications.
The Practice Range
and Teaching Center
The driving range consists of two tee areas facing each other and separated by more than 300 yards. There are five strategically positioned target greens situated from 50 to 225 yards, flanked with bunkers, and all designed by Fazio to mimic the greens and bunker configurations on the golf course.
Emerald Dunes also offers a 1,500-square-foot Teaching Center equipped with two teaching bays and state-of-the-art computer technology. Included is a club fitting and repair center, and just next to the center are four mini chipping greens and a USGA putting green.
Short Game Area
Set across four acres, the club’s short game area begins with a 19th or “bye” hole for settling tied matches, which may be played anywhere from 85 to 135 yards. There are multiple target greens, surrounded by sand traps, swales and chipping areas—all of which replicate the challenges of the course.
Considering all of these amenities, Emerald Dunes can proudly boast to have one the finest practice facilities imaginable.
